H&M (Hennes & Mauritz) is a leading Swedish multinational fashion brand offering stylish and affordable clothing, accessories, footwear, and home décor across the globe. Prioritizing environmental responsibility, H&M India, in collaboration with Graphic Era (Deemed to be University) and SDC Foundation, organized a successful clean-up drive on May 29, 2025, at Tapkeshwar Temple in Dehradun.
The objective of the initiative was to maintain the cleanliness, beauty, and environmental sustainability of the temple premises and surrounding areas. Staff from H&M stores, students from Graphic Era, and members of the SDC Foundation team worked together to segregate plastic, dry, and wet waste and ensure its proper disposal. All participants contributed enthusiastically and wholeheartedly to cleaning the temple area.
This initiative was not limited to cleanliness alone; it also served as a valuable educational experience for the youth involved. The campaign promoted values such as civic responsibility, awareness towards hygiene, and sustainable living practices. The drive proved to be a meaningful step toward realizing the vision of ‘Waste to Wealth’ by transforming waste into usable resources.
SDC Foundation continues to lead such initiatives to inspire youth, academic institutions, and local communities toward environmental conservation and social responsibility. The clean-up drive at Tapkeshwar Temple stands as a powerful example of collective effort, awareness, and the impact of community collaboration.
