CEDAR Workshop on Air Pollution

December 5, 2022 |

The Centre for Ecology Development & Research (CEDAR), Dehradun, organized a workshop on 'Air Pollution in HKH Region: Insights & Knowledge Exchange' as part of the 'Cities Study on Exposure & Impact of Air Pollution in the HKH Region' project under the 'Atmosphere' program of the International Centre for Integrated Mountain & Development (ICIMOD), Kathmandu, Nepal. The workshop was held on December 5th 2022, in Dehradun.

Research indicates that the air quality in the Hindu Kush Himalayan (HKH) region is gradually deteriorating, posing serious health concerns amongst vulnerable groups of society.

The workshop convened a selected group representing various stakeholders to discuss and present the findings of an air pollution study conducted in Dehradun. This included the research community, civil society members, government officials, and political leadership from Dehradun. SDC Founder Anoop Nautiyal was invited to moderate the discussions.
